How does booking direct save me money?

Booking sites add a service fee of roughly 14–15% on top of the nightly rate. Booking here, you pay the rate, cleaning, and tax — nothing else. On a typical 3-night stay that's $600+ back in your pocket.

How do I book, and how do I pay?

Send your dates and Chris confirms they are open, then sends back your full total: nightly rate, cleaning and tax, with no service fee added. You settle up with him directly. No card is needed just to ask about dates.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in 4 PM, check-out 10 AM, self check-in with a smart lock. Early check-in is often possible — just ask.

Yes, pets are welcome. The backyard play area is fenced, though the full 7 acres are open.

How far is it from Duluth?

About 15 minutes to Canal Park and downtown Duluth, and under 10 minutes to Duluth International Airport. You get total seclusion without being remote.

Is it good in winter?

Some of our favorite stays are winter ones: radiant heat, the two-story fireplace, a 16-foot Christmas tree in December, and Bentleyville 20 minutes away. Roads and the driveway are maintained.

Full refund 30+ days before check-in, 50% refund 14–30 days out, non-refundable inside 14 days. The same table is shown before you pay.

Yes — micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, reunions, and retreats are kind of our thing. 20x40 tent, wired pergola, tables, linens, and lodging for 16 on site. See the weddings page.
